2022 ICF Accreditation Updates

This page contains important information for students interested in attending ACA and earning a credential from The International Coaching Federation. Students enrolling in ACA who are not earning an ICF credential are not required to complete 10 mentor hours or the performance evaluation. This is known as the non-ICF track to completion.

The International Coaching Federation has implemented changes that impact ACSTH accredited programs starting in 2022. Programs are now moving from ACSTH to Level 1 Accreditation. The following will be implemented due to these changes effective immediately.

Mentoring

  • Mentoring will now be included in the program. Mentoring must take place over a 3 month period at a minimum. This will include 7 group mentoring sessions and 3 individual mentoring sessions.

  • Group Sessions: Students will have the option to attend one of two weekly group mentoring sessions.

  • Individual Sessions: Individual mentoring sessions will be done with Elizabeth Bentley, PCC. They will be scheduled on an individual basis with the goal of having all mentoring sessions completed within a 3-month timeframe.

  • Students are not required to go at a 3-month pace, this is only a suggested pace. Due to ICF’s requirement of the period in which mentoring can take place, 3 months is the fastest timeframe.

Performance Evaluations

  • Students will now be required to submit and pass a performance evaluation at the program level. At ACA, students must complete all 10 mentor hours prior to submitting their performance evaluation for review. There is no coaching hour minimum required.

  • Performance evaluations are a 30-minute, recorded, individual coaching session. These are submitted for evaluation. Students will receive feedback and a pass or fail score. Resubmissions are allowed with a $50 resubmission fee.

  • Individuals may be other coaches, paying clients, or pro-bono clients. For those who work for an organization and have privacy concerns, it is recommended the recorded session be with another coach.

  • A student does not graduate from the program until the performance evaluation is submitted and passed.

Tuition

Tuition will change from $2,495 to $2,995 as of March 19th, 2022.
